...it’s a brilliant way to encourage individual and group problem solving in a rapid way... What a smart and pragmatic application. I highly recommend the Play Academy if you are considering becoming a facilitator.

Play leads to brain plasticity, adaptability, and creativity… Nothing fires up the brain like play.

ABOUT

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® PROS

Play Academy are specialists in Lego® Serious Play®.

Why? Because Lego® Serious Play® enables you to have some serious fun while tackling real problems, discovering new and creative solutions you never imagined.

Lego® Serious Play® is a lean forward, interactive experience where everyone actively participates in the decision.

The method enables experimentation with complex ideas in a safe space, enabling participants to invent unique solutions through the collective intelligence of the group.

Our facilitators and trainers have vast experience in Lego® Serious Play® in addition to User Experience, Coaching, NLP and Service Design. These skills enable us to deliver training and facilitation that goes beyond traditional LSP, augmenting it to become an even more powerful tool.

Lego® Serious Play® is not just playing with a bunch of bricks building spaceships - its embedded in psychology and Neuroscience.

Brainstorming doesn’t work. Research has shown that many more ideas are generated when people work alone and then pool their ideas. This is how Lego® Serious Play® works - ensuring each individual’s idea is expressed before being influenced by the group. The process of creating a physical model for discussion leads to more effective, honest conversations where everyone is heard and valuable insights are discovered. The creative process of creating with our hands enables us to unlock our own hidden knowledge and potential - and that of the collective group.

The method is designed not only to remove the threat to our social needs - but to reward them. This results in increased dopamine, enhancing our cognitive abilities.

What this all means is a more productive, connected group that can perceive more options, and arrive at more strategic solutions.

Augmented with coaching and NLP, our technique allows us to achieve real transformational change.

We’re excited to offer this training from the Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) Method, developed by Robert Rasmussen and Per Kristiansen, authors of the book Building a better business using the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method.

This hands-on, experiential training course provides a comprehensive understanding of how to design and facilitate LSP workshops for a variety of outcomes. You will experience a number of workshop designs whilst learning the foundations and theory behind the method.

LSP is a facilitated process, and the results and impact are directly tied to the quality of the facilitation. The objective of The Association of Master Trainers’ facilitator training program is to provide the facilitator with the insights, confidence and skills necessary to prepare and facilitate the LSP process in a way that gives maximum value to the end-user and has lasting impact for the participants and their organisation.

This training provides you with the full and complete training necessary to master all aspects of the method and to successfully implement the method. There is no additional training or certification required beyond this training course.

The training will be delivered by Kristen Klassen - qualified Trainer of Facilitators.

WHAT YOU GET
How is this course different to some of the other 3 day courses?

Our certification program is a comprehensive four-day training which includes experiential hands-on work with real-life application. It teaches you how to facilitate 4D thinking through emergence and Real Time Strategy which is unique to The Association of Master Trainers Association.

Think about learning to fly a plane. In a 3 day course, you’ll learn how to fly a cargo plane, then pay for a different class to learn to fly a passenger plane, and then yet another class to learn to fly an F-16, so you are never fully certified as a pilot. Our class is arranged to teach you all the skills, techniques, and scientific theory you need to be a certified pilot, no matter what type of plane you are want to fly.

We also have an incredibly active community of LSP facilitators with regular meetings and online support forums. You leave the training as a fully certified facilitator, but you are never truly on your own.
